Job Description

Responsibilities

Supplier Acquisition

  • Identify and research potential suppliers that align with the ecommerce platform's product offerings, quality standards, and pricing strategies.
  • Reach out to potential suppliers through various channels such as email, phone calls, and networking events to establish partnerships.
  • Negotiate terms of agreement, including pricing, product specifications, delivery schedules, and payment terms, to ensure favorable terms for the ecommerce platform.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential suppliers, including assessing their reliability, production capabilities, and compliance with industry regulations.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing suppliers to ensure ongoing collaboration and satisfaction.
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by suppliers promptly and effectively to maintain a positive working relationship.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize product offerings, improve quality, and introduce new products or variations based on market trends and customer feedback.

Marketing and Sales

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote products sourced from suppliers on the ecommerce platform.
  • Create engaging content for social media platforms to increase brand visibility and drive traffic to the platform.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify opportunities for product promotion and sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and conversion through targeted marketing efforts.

Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier acquisition, product sales, and marketing campaigns.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track progress against goals, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to the management team on supplier relationships, market trends, and sales performance to inform strategic decision-making.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience in supplier acquisition and management, preferably in an ecommerce or retail environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for driving results.
