Job Description

Job Summary
Responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing in-house software development and integration projects

Job Role

  • Provide leadership and manage the effective running of the Development & Integration team.
  • Manage the development and integration of all application development projects within the organization.
  • Set plans, define measurable goals and ensure projects are delivered on time with respect to specific standards.
  • Manage the technical delivery of the full systems development life cycle ensuring comprehensive, timely and high quality outcomes.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to procedures and policies within the section.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent software integrations to agreed customer requirements and timelines
  • Approve projects work-plan and progress reports and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Document and archive completed projects/ tasks in a well-organized manner.
  • Offer ‘hands-on’ integration and configuration assistance as required.
  • Compile and verify sectional reports and statistics.
  • Coach & transfer knowledge to subordinates, manage KPIs of team members.
  • Assist with technical troubleshooting and responding to reported errors
  • Approve products before delivery.
  • Coordinate with other sections and departments during projects implementation.
  • Design documents and add on new services with bug free solutions.
  • Provide repository installation and configuration support.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Computer Engineer / Computer Science Degree.
  • Recommend to be Microsoft and Oracle certified for software development
  • 5 years minimum, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in the telecoms industry
  • Knowledge is mandatory of system capabilities, limitations, and programming logic.
  • Knowledge in software development policies and procedures.
  • Good knowledge in the following systems: relational database (Oracle, MSSQL server etc. programming tools (.net etc.).
  • Significant knowledge of multiple development design principles.
  • Specific experience in designing application code & application customization & Integration
  • Significant knowledge of complex database concepts and ensures project teams are effectively employing appropriate database design techniques.
  • Knowledge of project planning and management of software implementations, integrations and custom data migrations.
  • Proven communication skills including tact and diplomacy 
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience in team management
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to achieve results within tight deadlines
