Job Description

  • Subordinates: Receptionist, Sales Consultant
INTRODUCTION
The Company seeks to design, deliver and facilitate cutting edge training programmes that are tailor-made to suit specific company needs.  Greater emphasis will be placed on contemporary learning using Adult Learning methodologies such as practical exercises buzz group discussions, activity sheets, group work, role plays, case studies and audio-visual aids.

PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to coordinate activities of the Company’s Training Centre, developing and implementing strategic plans to deliver and market business critical training packages to clients while positioning the Company as a strategic training and development business partner.

SCOPE OF WORK
Overall the role will:
  1. Lead the development of a strategic business plan for the Training Centre
  2. Use creative methods and tools to identify learning and development needs within an organisation through regular consultation with business managers
  3. Design and develop training programmes based on the organisation's, specific business needs
  4. Market training products which include course, certification etc
  5. Research and develop training materials (trainer materials/module that includes each session’s objectives, time and learning methodology).
  6. Manage the delivery of learning and development programmes
  7. Assist in the sourcing and recruitment of experts to facilitate chosen training courses.
  8. Monitor and review the progress of trainees by using questionnaires and through discussions with managers
  9. Develop evaluation tools to ensure efficiency of designed courses
  10. Manage day to day administrative duties of the Training Centre
  11. Supervise activities of the Training Centre.
  12. Any other duties as assigned by the Directors.
COMPLETION OF DELIVERABLES
The contract will be considered satisfactorily performed when the incumbent successfully achieves 100% of targets agreed.

REPORTING
  • Monthly reports to be submitted to the Human Resources Director.
  • To prepare detailed reports on courses delivered with an electronic copy of all teaching aids.

Required Skills or Experience

  • At least a first degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management or related fields. A professional HR qualification and/or a second degree will be an advantage.
  • At least 3 year's experience in a similar role i.e. training, facilitation etc.
