Reporting Relationship:
The successful candidate shall report to the Information Technology Manager

Responsibilities
The successful candidate shall:

• Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Assist staff either face to face or over the telephone to set up systems or resolve issues
• Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware or software faults
• Replace parts as required.
• Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
• Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
• Support the roll-out of new applications.
• Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
• Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs.
• Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, appropriate).
• Prioritise and manage many cases at one time.
• Rapidly establish a good working relationship with staff/clients
• Test and evaluate new technology.
• Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

Required Skills or Experience

• A minimum of BSc. in Information Technology, BICT, or related area.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience.

• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have the ability to prioritise tasks
• Must be pro-active and result driven
• Must be a team player
