Job Description

Position Summary
We are in search of an experienced and detailed-oriented individual to support our Accounts department. This person will be responsible for managing account payables and receivables, processing invoices, following up on overdue payments, tracking office expenditure, and handling queries on general accounts. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of basic accounting functions, detailed-oriented and must be good at multitasking. 
 
Responsibilities
  • Process and maintain account payables and receivables.
  • Manage petty cash transactions.
  • Help with the preparation of quarterly Management Accounts.
  • Review and ensure there are approval for all payments.
  • Ensues Statutory deduction; PAYE, SSNIT etc. are paid on time.
  • Ensures adherence to WHT deductions and payment at end of each month, and follow up WHT Certificates.
  • Confirm all check payments.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for assigned banks accounts.
  • Handle account inquiries from internal and external sources.
  • Follow-up with clients on outstanding payments.
  • Maintain and Update Fixed Assets Register.

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of BSC in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • Part-qualification in professional accounting certification (ACCA, ICA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ working experience in finance or accounting.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
  • Experience in the Real Estate industry will be a plus.
  • Well organized, detailed-oriented and of high integrity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially in Microsoft Excel, or related applications.
  • Must reside in Tema or surrounding areas.
