Job Description

• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that cover a variety of subjects, including literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and arts.
• Use diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Incorporate play-based learning and hands-on activities to stimulate curiosity and foster a love for learning.

Student Assessment

• Assess the progress and development of each child through observation, formal and informal assessments.
• Provide regular feedback to parents/guardians on their child’s progress and areas for improvement.
• Adjust teaching strategies based on individual needs and progress.

• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
• Encourage positive social interactions and help develop conflict resolution skills.

• Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.
• Offer guidance on supporting learning at home and involve parents in educational activities.
• Professional Development
• Stay current with the latest developments in early childhood education.
• Attend workshops, training sessions, and conferences as required.

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Certification in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience with young children.

• Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity in designing engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching young children.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and their families.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and resources.

Working Conditions

• Home-based position requiring travel to the student’s home.
• Flexible working hours based on the family’s schedule, typically part-time or full-time.
