Job Description

• Location: Kumasi

• Design, develop and create database tables for the ACESO study 
• Responsible for creation of data management plans and other data management documentation as needed
• Assist with CRF design, review and validation of clinical database(s)
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the data management of the ACESO research study
• Day to day operation of REDCap database
• Ensure Research Assistants (RAs) have the correct data entry program while entering the study data;
• Ensure adequate backups of the data exist on external drives and servers, and are available in case of problems;
• Prepare database reports – weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
• Extract data and transform it to a format required by the PI and ACESO sponsors
• Trouble shoot and resolve problems that may occur during data entry and assist with Query resolution
• Contribute towards process improvement, quality assurance and quality control working with data management leadership as needed
• Any other duties appropriate to the role

Required Skills or Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in the biological sciences, computer science, engineering, or related discipline. 
• Minimum 2 years of research data management experience.

• Proficiency in MS Office (© Microsoft Word, Excel, etc).
• Knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements regarding clinical data management documentation and software.
• Experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and REDCap study management an added advantage.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and use of coding dictionaries
