Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
On a day- to day basis, the incumbent will build and maintain relationships with resellers with the goal of achieving set targets. The incumbent will also be responsible for general quotation administration, including answering customer enquiries on phones, logging email enquiries, visiting clients etc. 
 
FUNCTIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze and explore the market to identify new opportunities for the resellers you manage
  • Develop and achieve sales through the direct sales channel.
  • Focus on growing and developing existing resellers, together with generating new business.
  • Develop and Maintain adequate knowledge on all stocked products to have resale opportunities
  • Ensure prompt responses to customer enquiries within 24 to 48-hour window to maintain good relationships and meet projected weekly revenue targets
  • Perform day-to-day sales administration

             *  Identify resale opportunities by adhering to agreed scheduled visits

              *  Regular client contacts through daily and weekly visits, daily phone calls to secure and renew orders /contracts 

              *  Arrange for product demonstrations, presentations, training or trial installation of products

              *  Visit prospects and inform them about new products, pricing and availability

              *  Collaborate with internal sales to administer to customers’ needs

  • Ensure a level of customer service that is differentiated from the competition
  • Seek frank customer feedback and work to surface issues via ongoing personal contact
  • Provide monthly competitive analysis on products including competitors’ behavior
  • Develop SWOT for the reseller business and provide monthly updates
  • Submit monthly reports on reseller visits and engagements
  • Must uphold the Quality Management System (QMS) and work in conformance with the roles as specified in the Departmental Manual
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively contributing to the delivery and achievement of the Department’s Management Processes.
 
OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures 
  • Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions
  • Risk Assessment 
  • Hazard identification and reporting
  • Knowledge on the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable 

Required Skills or Experience

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
  • HND or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/electronic engineering, Marketing, Humanities and Social Sciences. 
  • 3 years’ experience in sales
