Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for issuing out materials and receiving returned items.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist representatives from other departments to retrieve stock quantity of specific items
2. Process Material Requisitions and Sales Orders. This includes:
  • Identifying physical location and quantity of items
  • Generating packing list for warehouse assistants
  • Issuing out items from ERP software
  • Handing over items to the User
  • Generating Waybills for items packed
  • Ensure Materials are adequately packaged and labelled for dispatch
  • Where items are supplied with invoice, ensure invoice is included in packaging
3. Receive returned items against initial MRN. This involves 
  • Physical inspection of returned items to verify quantity and condition of item.
  • Ensure items returned are in good condition for resale.
  • Return items to their designated warehouse locations.
  • Ensure returned items are stored under appropriate safe conditions.
  • Update ERP software of items received
4. Ensure stock out conditions are avoided through daily monitoring of minimum stock levels
5. Monitor on-going projects to provide early warning of stock out.
6. Monitor Sales forecast to provide early warning of stock out.
7. Place purchase requests taking into consideration sales forecast, on-going projects, vendor lead times to ensure minimum stock levels are kept at all times.
8. Report inaccurate stock levels as and when they occur.
9. Supervise picking, packing, loading, offloading and other warehouse management activitie
10. Generate purchase requests for low stock items, non-stock items based on material requisitions and sales orders.
11. Present filed records of Material movement per project or sales order per customer
12. To supervise the work of junior staff in the department 
13. Any other duties as assigned in relation to achievement of overall company goals.
 
OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures 
  • Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions relating to work
  • Hazard identification and reporting
  • Wear appropriate PPEs for work at all time
  • Knowledge on the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable 

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in fields of Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum (2) Years’ Experience in a similar role.
