Job Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple large-scale construction projects, including road infrastructure and housing developments. This role requires strategic planning, effective coordination, and proactive management to ensure successful project execution from initiation to completion. The Senior Project Manager will lead project teams, manage resources, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Oversee all phases of construction, from feasibility assessments and design coordination to execution and project closeout.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining project integrity.
• Implement health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections to prevent hazards.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and industry regulations related to road and housing construction.
• Track inventory levels of equipment, materials, and supplies across all construction sites to prevent shortages or delays.
• Foster collaboration between design teams, procurement teams, and site managers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and maintain project momentum.

Required Skills or Experience

Experience and Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred
• 8+ years of project management experience in the construction industry or construction specialties.
• Strong knowledge of construction management best practices
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
• Knowledge about Road Design (e.g. Geometric Design/Pavement Design)
• Conversant with the rules and regulations related to the construction industry
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Experience in Supervision of Road Construction
• Years of construction management experience managing budgets and schedules
