Our clients include international development agencies, international lending institutions, private corporations and philanthropies, and national governments.
Job Description REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS SELECTION OF VENDOR TO DEVELOP & DELIVER LOCATION-SPECIFIC CLIMATE INFORMATION SERVICES TO SMALLHOLDER FARMERS IN NORTHERN GHANA - LINK-RFP-GHANA -2024/0002 As part of its 2024 programs, the Feed the Future Ghana Policy LINK Activity (Policy LINK), supported by the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID), is inviting Ghanaian-based private sector companies in the climate information service (CIS) space to submit proposals to develop and deliver location-specific CIS to smallholder farmers located in the five regions in northern Ghana. The CIS to be delivered is expected to equip smallholder farmers with requisite information to adapt to the impacts of climate change and variability such as erratic rainfall patterns, dry spells, and high temperatures. Target beneficiaries are smallholder farmers who have no previous experience with the use of location-specific CIS. Objective of the Assignment The overall objective is to expose beneficiary farmers to the value and effectiveness of location-specific CIS in making climate-smart decisions for increased resilience and sustainable agricultural productivity. The intervention further aims to improve beneficiary farmers’ understanding of the various packages and options available in terms of these services. It is envisaged that farmers’ exposure to the value and effectiveness of location-specific CIS will lead to increased willingness and interest to invest in such services after the completion of this intervention. Evaluation of proposals
Required Skills or Experience Qualification for the offeror (institution) Policy LINK is seeking a private company experienced in the development and delivery of CIS to smallholder farmers to implement this intervention. Due to its scope, i.e., number of regions, potential number of languages, etc., a consortium of private sector CIS with complementary experiences may develop and submit a joint application to execute the intervention.
