Job Description

We are a reputable legal and management consulting firm based in the Labone/Cantonments area which assists public and private sector clients operating in a variety of sectors, including energy, oil and gas, banking, finance, agriculture, and human capital. We have an opening for a lawyer who will lead the legal team to ensure that the firm provides sound legal advice and high-quality professional services to its clients. You will also support the firm’s management consulting practice.

This is interesting and diverse work which will entail:

• Liaising with Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
• Conferring with clients, policy makers and specialists on technical and non-technical issues.
• Conducting research and providing opinions and counsel regarding business transactions.
• Analyzing and drafting contractual agreements.
• Legislative reviews, interpretation and drafting.
• Preparation, review and drafting of reports.
• Leading negotiations, presentations and meetings.
• Business development and growth of the firm’s client base.

Required Skills or Experience

• Qualified lawyer, with solid post-call track record
• Postgraduate qualifications acquired from recognized tertiary institutions.
• 5 – 8 years’ working experience in total.
• Computer Literacy is essential (Ms Word/Excel, etc)
• Experience in the job requirement areas
• A sharp mind with excellent analytical, written and presentation skills.
• Excellent and proactive team player with a positive attitude
• Astute with a strong leadership orientation.

This is a full-time job, with extra hours on weekdays and some weekends.
