Company Profile Create Change Ghana (CCG) is a grassroots non-profit dedicated to empowering girls and young women in Northern Ghana. Through education, mentorship, and leadership initiatives, we equip young women to drive meaningful change within their communities. Since 2007, we have prioritized building confident, capable leaders who uplift others and transform futures. Job Description We are looking for a leader who can effectively manage our new developments and ensure we become a more efficient organization, a better partner, and a leader in our field in terms of sustainability and innovative approaches to empowering people.
THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR POSITION
As part of our Northern Ghana team, the Program Director will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations and programs of CCG. This role aims to advance the organization's mission in education, rural community development, and women’s empowerment. The Program Director will work with all stakeholders to strengthen our impactful cycle of educating girls, offering them valuable opportunities and experiences, and supporting them to become leaders both in Northern Ghana and within our organization.
The new Program Director will lead our fellowship team, which comprises young female university graduates prepared to take on various program responsibilities. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with Create Change Foundation in Canada to develop guidelines, training manuals, workshops, and other resources for new initiatives. They will manage all aspects of the fellowship program under their supervision, including hiring, training, and monitoring and evaluation.
We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in implementing social programs in schools and rural communities. The ideal candidate should be a natural mentor, experienced in working closely with youth, and passionate about advocating for marginalized communities in Ghana. A strong commitment to empowering girls and young women is essential, as is a readiness to provide continuous mentorship and training.
The Program Director will be enthusiastic about implementing innovative, empowering approaches to development and social change.
