Job Description

Role Overview
The General Manager will oversee the overall operations, business development, and administration of the company. This individual will lead the strategic development and growth of the company. The role requires a combination of leadership, strategic vision, and hands-on management to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Administration & Operations:

  • Oversee the daily management of the organization’s operations, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Developing and implementing the overall strategy of the organization, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Ensuring operational processes are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness, and leading initiatives for process innovation.
  • Making high-level decisions about the allocation of financial resources and ensuring that operational and administrative costs are minimized without sacrificing quality.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a small team of dedicated staff, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture within the organization.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Board of Directors on company performance, project progress, and strategic initiatives.
  • Setting goals for the team, providing feedback, and ensuring a culture of accountability and performance excellence.

Business Development & Strategy:

  • Lead efforts to identify new clients for the organization’s office complex and develop new business opportunities in property management and real estate development.
  • Develop and execute short and long-term strategies for the organization’s growth, focusing on optimizing the land assets in Accra and the Northern Region.
  • Conduct market research and feasibility studies to identify profitable real estate ventures and property management opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, clients, regulatory bodies, and partners in the real estate sector.
  • Market and lease available office spaces to attract clients, negotiate rental terms, and manage tenant relations to ensure high occupancy rates.

Stakeholder & Client Management:

  • Act as the primary representative of the company in engagements with clients, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure a high standard of client service and satisfaction in property management and real estate development.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of senior leadership experience. Previous experience in real estate development a plus.
  • Strong business development skills, with a track record of identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial performance.
