Job Description

  • Directly reports to:  Senior Programs Manager

Position Objectives

  • Contribute to overall program goals.
  • To help in the achievement of DKT’s sales targets.
  • To assist in making DKT’s brands the topmost brands in their categories.

Job Summary

  • -Directly educate community members and groups about contraception with a focus on DKT’s brands.
  • -Assist women, girls & men who are interested in DKT’s brand of contraceptives to gain access to them by referring them to DKT’s trained service providers.
  • -Recruit new health facilities that will be screened and enrolled on the Lydia Partner Network.
  • -Provide support to MDs and SDMs within assigned territories.
  • -Provide feedback that will help to improve the program to management
  • -Report ADR through the appropriate channel

Key Performance Indicators

  • Generate targeted CYPs per month.
  • Number of women accepting DKT’s brand of contraceptives.
  • Number of new health facilities recruited into the Lydia Partner Network

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directly educate women, girls and men on contraception with a focus on DKT’s Brand of contraceptives
  • Discuss misconceptions related to the various types of contraceptives and address them satisfactorily.
  • Promote DKT’s brand of contraceptives (Lydia range of contraceptives, Fiesta Condom, Kiss condom to various women, girls and men and groups mainly at the community level
  • Assist women interested in DKT’s brand of contraceptives to gain access to them by managing referrals to Lydia Partner clinics
  • Assist women, girls and men interested in DKT’s brand of contraceptives to get them at the Lydia Partner outlets
  • Follow up on all referrals to ensure that the women actually keep their referral appointments
  • Follow up on women who accept contraceptive methods to ensure that they keep their appointments and due dates for review
  • Work with MDs and SDMs to ensure availability of stock
  • Recruit new health facilities which will be screened and enrolled as Lydia Partner Clinic and Lydia Partner outlet

Location: All 16 regions of Ghana

Required Skills or Experience

Required Skills or Experience/Qualification

  • HND or Degree in Public health, Marketing or related field
  • Experience in Sales/Marketing of Pharmaceutical products will be an advantage

Skills and abilities

  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective business proposition skills
  • Effective time management
  • Organizational skills
  • Fluent in English and at least one local language of the region of residence.
  • Computer literate

Criteria for selecting RCRs

  • Must be resident in any of the 16 regions of Ghana
  • Must be an energetic individual aged 18 to 40 years old
  • Must be comfortable working on the field
  • Must be available to work for at least 2 years
  • Must have some experience in data management and must appreciate data accuracy and reliability
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be comfortable talking about SRHR issues and making referral for services
  • Must be willing to work in a team and also with minimum supervision on the field
  • Must be willing to comply with organizational rules and regulations
