Job Description

The Assistant Operations Manager operationally works directly under the CEO to set up, assist to manage and direct the activities of the React Team. The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and a proactive approach to operational activities. 
 
The AOM will assist the CEO in the planning, coordination, and execution of time-sensitive deployments of systems, personnel, and equipment in response to client calls. The AOM will assist to ensure the Team activities run efficiently and effectively. 
 
The job description for the Assistant Operations Manager of React Team typically includes the following

Responsibilities
Recruitment, Training and Development: 
  • The AOM will assist the HR to recruit the best qualified personnel.
  • Assist to provide comprehensive training to the React Team as well as conducting regular drills and exercises.
  • Ensure the Team is always in the state of readiness to carry out their duties. 
Supervising Security Staff: 
  • Directly oversee the daily activities of the React Team personnel 
  • Ensure that they are well briefed to perform their duties.  
Managing Security Systems: 
  • Directly oversee the implementation and maintenance of the personnel, the security systems, operational equipment and technologies. 
Implementing Security Policies: 
  • Assisting in the development and enforcement of security operational and administrative policies and procedures.
Incident Response: 
  • Ensure that the Team members are always well-prepared from briefing to kitting.
  • Enable the Team to perform according to the expected standards. 
  • Coordinate the operations of the Teams in the field.  
Compliance: 
  • Ensure that all React Team operations comply with relevant laws, regulations and industry standard.
  • Ensure that contingency plans are maintained and adhered to.
Reporting: 
  • Ensure that the appropriate reports on activities on operations are prepared according to the policies, 

Required Skills or Experience

Skills and Qualifications
  • An Associate’s Degree (or equivalent) in Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, or rapid deployment operations, with a track record of managing high-stakes projects.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and resource allocation.
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and complex operations under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment, crisis management, and safety protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills for managing both internal and external stakeholders.

Desired Attributes

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Knowledge of emergency response, military, or rapid deployment operations is a plus.
