Job Description

  • Reporting To: Security Supervisor/Coordinator
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure the protection of property, people, and information through the deployment of various procedures and tactics specified by the hotel management including but not limited to; patrolling, records and reporting, Log-in and log-out, handling the loss and prevention, traffic control, access control, escort guests and visitors etc.
Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining order.
  • Monitor team activities on the ground and assist in training them to interact properly with guests, visitors and employees.
  • Inform and direct guests about parking areas as well as restricted area for parking
  • Records and reports on accidents and security breaches as well as any event involving the safety and security of people or property. It could even be fire hazards, and other types of hazards. 
  • Conduct regular patrols in all bit areas, including activity rooms, public areas, outlets, and surrounding areas, and other security-related matters.
  • Ensure that the vehicles are parked properly and that the reserved parking, such as the employees’ parking area and the VIP parking area, are not occupied by common guests.
  • Monitor security systems, such as CCTV and alarm system and report on any unusual happenings.
  • Escort unwelcome persons from the property.
  • Conduct risk assessment and ensure that appropriate preventative measures are in place to avoid incidents.
  • Coordinate with public authorities such as police or law enforcement officers to facilitate investigation, if any incident requires additional investigation.
  • Assist to defuse disturbances in the hotel premises
Other
  • Attend daily briefings to receive updates on daily operations
  • Follow all relevant health and safety regulations
Work Relationships
  • Coordinates with: All departmental heads and staff within the hotel.

Required Skills or Experience

Educational Qualification and Experience
  • High school certificate or diploma
  • At least one or two years of proven work experience as a security guard within any establishment is preferred
Skills
  • Ability to stand and move on feet for long periods of time
  • Flexibility to work on shifts, night hours, holidays, etc.
  • Knowledge of firefighting
  • Confident and Independent
  • High level of propriety and concern regarding guests’ privacy
  • High level of confidentiality, is a must
