Job Description

  • Reporting To: Food & Beverage Manager

Job Summary
As an F&B Supervisor at Rock City Hotel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our dining establishment. You will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of restaurant staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and motivate waiting staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
  • Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.

Customer Service

  • Greet and interact with guests to ensure a welcoming and memorable dining experience.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and ensure that all service standards are consistently met or exceeded.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food and beverage costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.

Quality Control

  • Maintain high-quality food and beverage standards, presentation, and consistency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of dining areas and equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure prompt and accurate food delivery.

Guest Relations

  • Build strong relationships with regular guests and address their preferences.
  • Handle guest feedback, suggestions, and complaints professionally and proactively.

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate ongoing training sessions for restaurant staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Required Skills or Experience

Education

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent with a focus in hospitality

Skills & Experience

  • Must have a minimum of six (6) years working experience as a Waiting Supervisor or in a similar role with leadership experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the food industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
