Job Description
- Reporting To: Food & Beverage Manager
Job Summary
As an F&B Supervisor at Rock City Hotel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our dining establishment. You will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of restaurant staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and motivate waiting staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
- Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
Customer Service
- Greet and interact with guests to ensure a welcoming and memorable dining experience.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and ensure that all service standards are consistently met or exceeded.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food and beverage costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
Quality Control
- Maintain high-quality food and beverage standards, presentation, and consistency.
- Conduct regular inspections of dining areas and equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure prompt and accurate food delivery.
Guest Relations
- Build strong relationships with regular guests and address their preferences.
- Handle guest feedback, suggestions, and complaints professionally and proactively.
Training and Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate ongoing training sessions for restaurant staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Required Skills or Experience
Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent with a focus in hospitality
Skills & Experience
- Must have a minimum of six (6) years working experience as a Waiting Supervisor or in a similar role with leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of the food industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
