The role of the Safety and Security Officer (SSO) is focused on the continuous implementation of safety and Security strategies and protocols to ensure a high level of safety and wellbeing for all CARE Ghana staff based in the Northern Sector Sub-Office, Tamale. The SSO will maintain a high level of contextual awareness of her/his operating area and strong coordination with Program and Program support teams at the field level. S/he will promote a strong Safety and Security culture at her/his field office(s) through continuous trainings and collaborative security assessments with all field-based staff. The SSO will serve as the Safety and Security unit representative at field level and also serve, when required as the Safety unit representative on the Field Crisis Management Team. The SSO will report directly to the Safety and Security Manager. The incumbent will be based in the Northern Sector Sub-Office, Tamale. RESPONSIBILITIES Planning and Preparation
