Job Description

Purpose
This key management role shall primarily drive the positioning of the Institution on the market to reflect the unique attribute of VisionFund Ghana (VFG) as a viable financial institution with a strong focus on both social impact and financial performance. The I&IM manager shall be responsible for managing key activities’ such as; impact measurement and management, integration with World Vision Ghana (WVG) and other like-minded institutions to reach social goals, and working with assigned resources to achieve agreed objectives.
 
Major Responsibility
Impact Measurement and Management
  • Set up efficient clients’ data gathering system to monitor clients’ progress out of poverty
    • Identify the best method of collecting data and develop templates
    • Analyze clients’ poverty information, evaluate results and present changes in poverty indicators to management
  • Plan, organize and coordinate literacy training in product knowledge and institutional social activities or programs
  • Identify product information requirement of clients and develop training programs to address these needs.
  • Develop social literacy program/ materials or manuals for the empowerment of clients.
  • Develop orientation / training programs for staff to create awareness and safeguard clients’ protection
  • Evaluate the work of subordinates to ensure that programs are of appropriate quality and that resources are used effectively
  • Implement and evaluate clients’ empowerment programs
  • Organize meetings with other departments to discuss findings and how to improve product and service delivery.
  • Keep records of economic and social life changing events as narrated by clients
Integration
  • Lead the integration between VFG and WVG, ensuring mutual goals are pursued and achieved.
  • Identify likeminded institutions and facilitate partnership agreements.
  • Work with stakeholders to sign appropriate MoU, bring parties to speed of their respective roles and monitor to ensure each party is executing their part of the agreement.
  • Represent VFG in stakeholder engagement and ensure VFG is perceived as an ideal partner for impact programming.
  • Seek new ways to strength the partnership and new opportunities of collaboration.
  • Comply to standards and report on partnership outcomes.
  • Propose and design cost-efficient and effective integration strategies that are appropriate for the desired market; through embedded training.
  • Packages a marketing prospectus for the Institution targeting AP clients; updates the marketing prospectus.
  • Be involved in the development of appropriate product offering for the target market.
 

Required Skills or Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Development Studies or related field
  • Must have good public relations skills and relate well with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must have a good knowledge in microfinance methodologies, products and services.
  • Must be very conversant with VFG’s core objectives and mode of operation.
  • Must be dynamic, innovative and self-motivated.
  • Must be willing and able to work effectively under pressure and be goal oriented.
  • Must be a team player who believes in teamwork.
  • Must be a practicing Christian.
