Job Description

• Start Date: July 2024
• Reports To: Senior Administrative Assistant

IPA is seeking a professional, experienced Driver to join its team and provide safe, reliable transportation
for field work.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive project teams, staff and other visitors.
• Drive to project sites as and when necessary
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks (e.g., checking tire pressure, fluid levels).
• Report any mechanical issues with the vehicle to ensure timely repairs.
• Should be willing to travel and work in remote communities.
• Ensure vehicle is not misused or mishandled in any way
• Ensure vehicle is used strictly for official duties
• Provide periodic reports on the status of the car to the Administrative Assistant.
• Transport staff to their destinations in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
• Plan routes using GPS navigation and adjust for traffic conditions.
• Assist with loading luggage and other items into the vehicle.
• Anticipate staff needs and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding passengers’ conversations and activities.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• May be required to complete errands or make deliveries on behalf of staff (optional).
• Maintain a clean driving record.

Required Skills or Experience

Skills & Experience

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of Two [2] years of professional driving experience
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.

• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong navigational skills and a good sense of direction.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight schedules.
• Calm and composed under pressure.
• Knowledge of the local area/ terrain (a plus).
