BRAC International Microfinance
BRAC has been one of the pioneers of microfinance. Having started its microfinance programme in Bangladesh in 1974, BRAC first expanded its microfinance operations internationally in 2002 and now operates in seven countries outside of Bangladesh - Myanmar, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Ghana and Liberia and serves nearly 850,000 clients, 96% of whom are women.

Description of the Assignment
BRAC Ghana Savings and Loans Limited (BGSL) is looking for a professional graphics designer and illustrator to develop a pre-disbursement orientation training material for its clients to improve their understanding of BRAC’s terms and conditions and enhance their financial awareness.
Key Audience
BGSL’s clients, primarily women, engaged in petty-trades, agriculture, micro and small businesses.
Context
The pre-disbursement orientation material will be a 12-15 curriculum in the format of a flipchart. The graphic artist will draw pictures (full page art, addie models, illustrations, icons, etc) based on the text and creative brief provided by BRAC. The art should represent the culture, traditions, and demographics of the country.

BRAC will provide the background of the project, creative brief, content, and necessary documents to ensure that the artist has a clear concept of the purpose as well as BRAC values and brand identity.
The artist should ensure that the final products meet BRAC’s values, style and brand identity. Feedback will be incorporated until BRAC is satisfied that the deliverables will achieve the purpose.
Payment
The payment will be made in full after the successful completion of the assignment. VAT and TAX will be deducted at source based on Ghanaian rules and regulations. Confidentiality and Compliance
Confidentiality and non–transferability BRAC holds the intellectual property rights of the produced materials and all materials shall be transferred by the artist after completion of the campaign. Any data, information, documents, design files and other materials related to the work shall remain the property of BRAC and shall be kept confidential by the artist. The artist will not be allowed to transfer or divulge any information to any other person or organization without prior approval of unless it is necessary by the laws in Ghana. The artist is also not allowed to sub-contract, delegate or otherwise transfer or dispose of any of its rights or obligations of the work to a 3rd party without prior written approval from BRAC. The artist agrees, for the purposes of this agreement to take all reasonable steps necessary to ensure that the artist does not support sexual harassment, fraudulent activities and misconduct relating to the implementation of this agreement and in the operation of its organization. The artist also confirms that it will comply with the national laws and rules along with the internationally accepted laws, rules and regulations regarding the contract, employment conditions, labor issues, sexual harassment, fraudulent activities and misconduct, etc.
