Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Firm Lead, the Business Manager shall exercise oversight responsibility for the management and growth of the Recruitment Platform of the firm. The incumbent shall work directly with the business development and recruitment teams in ensuring that the growth and use of the recruitment platform meets the needs of the varied users. He/she shall also provide leadership in the areas of platform management and administration, ensuring growth, profitability and sustainability of the platform in the medium to long term.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement medium term strategic and growth plan for the platform;
  • Develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans
  • Lead recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives
  • Perform sourcing to fill open positions and anticipate future needs
  • Plan and conduct recruitment and selection processes (interviews, screening calls etc.)
  • Organise and/or attend career fairs, assessment centers or other events
  • Develop and manage an annual budget for platform management and administration;
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations and other relevant laws;
  • Provide second level approval for all job posts uploaded unto the platform, ensuring they meet the minimum standards;
  • Regularly upload relevant blogs and information for prospective employers and employees;
  • Regularly assess performance and provide periodic training to platform administrator;
  • Provide regular reports on growth and profitability of platform to top management;
  • Ensure regular review and update of platform administration manual;
  • Lead the promotion of the platform to target institutions, partners and job seekers;
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills or Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Project Management, or related field;
  • Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in managing recruitment and talent acquisition, preferably in managerial/leadership role;
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in Human Resource or Marketing, preferably to heads of business units and organisations;
  • At least three (3) years’ work experience in digital platform management;
  • Business/entrepreneurial oriented mindset;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to solve problems in a quick and effective manner;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of HR analytics and skill in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Possess the ability to think “outside the box” and to lead and manage change in a positive and inclusive manner and work effectively with ethnic, cultural and diverse learner population.
