Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Stores Manager 
  • Receive the equipment and materials supplied by vendors as per the purchase order.
  • Check the materials thoroughly for quality, quantity, specification, and condition.
  • Categorize the materials and stock in the appropriate locations.
  • Take appropriate action for the care and preservation of the materials.
  • Monthly verification of stock to ensure correctness of stock at all times.
  • Maintain a tidy warehouse.
  • Issue materials to departments as per the requisitions.
  • To pass on the bills of the materials received from the vendor and send it to the Accounts department for payment.
  • Prepare waybills on equipment supplied from the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate records on stock levels at all times.
  • Attend to auditors during auditing.
  • Perform Pricing functions, such as pricing quotations and Bills of Quantities.
  • Any other performance that an ordinary officer of your caliber would perform as the company’s store Manager. 

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification

  • Degree in Purchasing and Supply

Experience

  • 5 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, and recordkeeping.
  • In a reputable organization Air conditioning company will be a plus.
