Job Description

Recruitment of ASBC team
The USAID’s Accelerating Social and Behavior Change Activity (ASBC) is a five-year $26.1million project which continues USAID’s long investment in the Ghana Health Service (GHS). It will enable Ghana’s Health Promotion Division (HPD) to achieve its Strategic Objective to “lead SBC efforts using tested mass media and community engagement tools,” and to “magnify Communicate for Health learnings” whereby target populations (women of reproductive age, newborns, children <5, adolescents/youth <25) “sustainably adopt healthy behaviors and practices, including timely use of health services and products” (ASBC Goal) nationally and in 17 districts in Northern Ghana – where the most severe health disparities persist. ASBC activities are designed to promote sustainability – of a capacitated HPD (Result 1), of health-seeking behavior change and impact at individual and community levels (Result 2), and of private enterprise and CSO support for the public health agenda (Result 3). Norsaac is responsible for result 2 and shall sub grant to other CSOs to deliver on the result. The program is recruiting experienced staff to occupy the positions of; ASBC MONITORING, LEARNING AND EVALUATION OFFICERS

ASBC MONITORING, LEARNING AND EVALUATION OFFICERS

M&EL Officers will support project monitoring, evaluation activities and shall be assigned to specific partners. They shall report to the M&EL Manager and shall oversee partners monitoring, evaluation and learning plan. This position shall be based in Norsaac’s head office in Tamale and Western Region

Required Skills or Experience

  • First degree in social science, research methodologies, program evaluation or any related field with at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in similar positions or project of similar size.
  • Demonstrable competence and capacity to use technology (particularly DHIS 2) in managing data.
  • Demonstrable experience in both qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation approaches
  • Demonstrable experience in data collection, procession, analysis and utilization.
  • Knowledge in project management will be an added advantage
