Aside its headquarters, Norsaac has its policy influencing office in the Accra Residential area with other 2 satellite offices in Northern Ghana for effective programming.

 

Job Description

Education Program Advisor

Education Program Advisor is primarily the technical advisor on all education-related projects/programs in Norsaac and responsible for ensuring they are implemented in compliance with contractually agreed targets, scope, durations, budgets, and donor compliance obligations.

As the head of Education programs in Norsaac,

  • He/she will be responsible for coordinating and managing cross-functional teams within the unit including fundraising, recruitment, and procurement, liaising and linking with other sectors in general.
  • The Education Program Advisor will play an oversight responsibility of reporting progress to donors or SMT as well as inspiring team members to see the big picture and push toward their shared goals.
  • The person is also responsible for ensuring visibility of the unit (projects/program communicated effectively) to stakeholders across various levels.
  • He/she also works with all relevant authorities at National and regional level for a better implementation, acceptance, and ownership in improving the wellbeing of the area.

The Education Program Advisor reports to the head of programs, policy and influencing and is a member of the extended management team of Norsaac. It is expected that the Education Advisor will maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity, display a positive attitude and a team focus, be enquiring and articulate, and can lead and deliver ongoing professional services.

This position shall be based in Norsaac’s office in Walewale (Northeast Region)

Required Skills or Experience

  • Completion (with at least a master’s degree) of studies at an accredited academic institution, preferably in education, social sciences, humanities, development studies or other related studies.
  • Proven record of leading cross-sectional teams
  • At least five (5) years’ progressive experience in a similar position.
