Job Description

AIT-TV is a modern television station that utilizes cutting-edge broadcasting and multimedia technologies to deliver a diverse range of news, entertainment, and educational programs. With a strong presence across traditional TV and social media platforms, we are committed to engaging audiences in Ghana and beyond. We are seeking a results-driven TV Station Manager with a strong background in marketing, revenue generation, and social media strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to maximize viewership and profitability while also building a robust social media presence for our station. Additionally, the television manager will oversee programming decisions, manage budget allocations, lead and develop staff, coordinate editing and production processes, analyze audience metrics to inform content development, and foster relationships with advertisers and sponsors to drive revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker who can integrate all thematic areas of television management to enhance overall station performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful TV Station Manager will manage and coordinate each functional area of the station, including:

  • Programming and Scheduling:
  • Pre-Production and Post-Production Activities
  • Marketing and Promotions
  • Digital Editing 
  • Operations Management (Master Control Room (MCR), Pre- and Post-Production Operations, Camera and Set, On-Air Talent (Presenters, Hosts, Anchors), Graphics and Motion Design, Sound and Audio Engineers, etc.)
  • Digital Content and Social Media management
  • Technical Operations
  • Sales and Advertising
  • Legal and Compliance, etc.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Administration Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field. A Master’s Degree will be a plus.
  • Minimum of THREE years post-qualification experience in television marketing or management.
  • Proven track record of generating revenue and increasing market share. Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable strategies. Creative, results-oriented mindset with a passion for media and storytelling Ability to serve as the central coordinator, ensuring that all functional areas work in harmony to produce high-quality content and achieve the station’s objectives across traditional and modern platforms.
