Job Description
TKG developed FieldWorkz, an on-demand survey platform that crowdsources critical data through a network of trained and experienced data collectors and is seeking a Senior Data & Research Associate for FieldWorkz who has ICT experiences with technologies such as AI, Data Analytics & Visualization, Machine Learning, and IOT. The Senior Data & Research Associate will have deep expertise with tools such as ODK, SurveyCTO, SurveyToGo, Survey Solutions, Magpi, etc., and understand scripting. We are looking for someone with 5 to 7 years of experience and a strong ICT and Research background, understanding of remote data collection, data collection tools, and is deeply experienced with analysis tools such as Python, R, SPSS, Stata, etc.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Manage and operationalize surveys and research in the field.
- Design and develop compelling data visualization (maps, charts, and graphs) and dashboards using data sets from various sources.
- Research and develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) utilization strategies for internal and external practices and procedures.
- Shape clients’ business objectives by interpreting, analyzing and synthesizing research data into meaningful and insightful quantitative reports/presentations.
- Collect and analyze data with rigor and integrity and curate insights that are concise and appropriately accessible to other audiences.
- Analyze quantitative data, interpret statistics and draft findings, including data visualization.
- Clearly communicate the results of analytical work to non-technical audiences in both written and oral communication.
- Collaborate with global research teams during quantitative project execution to ensure quality of results and communication delivered to clients.
- Contribute to marketing communications (e.g., blog posts, articles, webinars, and conference papers) specific to quantitative research methodologies.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders, in-person and/or remotely.
- Maintain the highest level of data security and client confidentiality.
Required Skills or Experience
- Master’s degree in computer science, statistical studies, demography and any other field related data management and at least 5 years of experience in the field of database management and 3 years of experience working in the field of monitoring and evaluation and research
- Exceptional with tools such as ODK, SurveyCTO, SurveyToGo, Survey Solutions, etc.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one programming language relevant for numerical analysis (Strong preference for Python, R, SPSS, Stata, etc.).
- Excellent computer skills: MS Excel, Access, SQL, DK/GRASP, NAS and Android tablets or phones
- Experience with using various types of Artificial Intelligence (AI) apps and bots for streamlining
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and analyzing messy datasets and translating results into concrete and practical applications for non-research audiences.
- Good mapping and cartography skills
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Python, R, etc.).
- Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative data collection methodologies, and relating software packages
- Proven ability to develop user-friendly technical documents and reports
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, organizational and team-work skills
- Proficient in using MS Office projects and conducting internet research is required
- Ability to analyze, interpret, summarize data, communicate and present findings in ways understandable to decision-makers within the organization and externally.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Python, R, etc.).
- Proficiency and understanding of various quantitative design and analysis tools (MPlus, SPSS Stata, R, etc.).
