A Special Initiative is yet to be launched to address the critical challenges of unemployment and underemployment in partner countries. Our focus is on creating sustainable employment opportunities, particularly for young people and young women who are disproportionately affected by these issues.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to oversee the implementation of our advisory packages. This position requires a dedicated individual who will ensure the quality and timely delivery of project objectives, coordinate communication among stakeholders, and manage personnel effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall Responsibility: Ensure the quality and adherence to deadlines for all advisory packages provided by the contractor.
- Coordination: Facilitate communication between our company, project partners, and all stakeholders involved in the initiative.
- Personnel Management: Identify short-term assignment needs within budget constraints, plan and manage assignments, and support local and international short-term experts.
- Reporting: Oversee and ensure timely reporting in alignment with project deadlines.
Required Skills or Experience
- Education: University degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s) in Human Resource Management, Business Development Management, or a related field.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- General Professional Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years in the ITO/BPO sector, implementing impact sourcing initiatives across at least four African countries.
- Specific Professional Experience: At least four (4) years in education, training, and quality management related to recruitment efforts for BPO projects, including sourcing and onboarding talent to meet client needs.
- Leadership/Management Experience: Four (4) years of management/leadership experience as a project team leader or manager, mentoring team members in impact sourcing initiatives and recruitment techniques aligned with industry trends.
- Regional Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience managing projects in the African region.
- Development Cooperation Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in implementing development cooperation projects.
