Job Description

Your primary responsibilities will include installing and configuring Android point of sale (POS) and smartphone devices, computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and application problems, either over the phone or in person.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and configure Android POS and smartphone devices
  • Perform hardware and software installations, configurations and updates as needed
  • Resolve technical issues via phone, in person, or electronically in a timely manner using available resources within the company
  • Talk to customers through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Log bugs and enhancement requests
  • Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
  • Identify and escalate issues to supervisor when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills or Experience

You'll need to show evidence of the following:

  • Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of hardware and software
  • Strong technical, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge in setting up and operating Android devices
  • An ability to stick to strict deadlines
  • An ability to prioritise and delegate
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • A keen eye for detail
