JOB PURPOSE
The Unit Head role a pivotal role responsible for driving business growth and maintaining the existing portfolio and ensuring effective management of broker relationships by guiding officers in providing exceptional service and resolving issues promptly, ultimately driving business development to grow the portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The ultimate responsibility for the of the Unit Head is to drive business acquisition and maintain the existing book or portfolio.
- Directly supervise the work of the two officers, providing guidance, support, and regular feedback to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to align on objectives, monitor progress, and address any challenges.
- Promote a collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and a cohesive approach to achieving departmental goals.
- Oversee the officers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, ensuring a proactive approach to market expansion.
- Support the development of proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Ensure effective management of broker relationships by guiding officers in providing exceptional service and resolving issues promptly, and ultimately driving business development to grow the portfolio.
Required Skills or Experience
EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of a first degree in any discipline with a five (5) year post national service experience in a sales and customer focused environment.
- Must have a track record of excellent performance and good behavior. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good analytical skills for decision making.
- Must have strong Leadership qualities and can lead and engage people to achieve results. Must be emotionally intelligent.
- Must be self-motivated and always have a passion for service delivery. Creative, confident, and professional person with high levels of self-drive Competency in usage of the Microsoft Office Suite.
