The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) is an independent regulatory body established by the NRA Act, 2015 (Act 895) and began operations in January 2016. The NRA has a statutory responsibility for regulating civilian use of nuclear and other radioactive materials and is preparing itself to regulate Ghana’s nuclear power programme.  

 

Job Description

The NRA is seeking to recruit to fill various positions in its organisational structure.  The NRA hereby invites qualified Ghanaians to apply for any of the positions listed below.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will be part of a technical support team planning and executing quantitative risk assessments and/or risk-based statistical analyses.
  • He/She will support the planning and the development of risk assessment focused on high consequence, low probability events for nuclear and radiological facilities.
  • Must be conversant with advanced decision modelling and data analysis, including statistical and mathematical models that inform probabilistic risk assessments.  

Required Skills or Experience

  • Minimum of Masters in nuclear engineering, applied physics, operations research, reliability, physical sciences, mathematics, statistics or other related subjects.
