Job Description

MSI Reproductive Choices Ghana has vacancies for passion driven, well-organised, client-oriented and energetic individuals with the below relevant qualification/s and experience located in Accra. MSI Ghana’s goal is to meet the needs of the underserved and improve access to the use of Family Planning (FP) and other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services. The primary responsibility of this role is to promote MSIG’s mission of ensuring the individual’s right to CHILDREN BY CHOICE, NOT CHANCE. The Driver will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are always in good working conditions. He/She will be part of the Procurement and Fleet Team to ensure that client-centred services are delivered in accordance with MSI clinical quality standards. The post will be based in MSIG’s Support Office, Tesano-Accra with travel to service delivery points in support of quality assurance through monitoring, mentoring and clinical training of staff at MSI supported service sites.

Key Responsibilities

Operational duties

  • Checks that vehicle is fueled and in proper running order before use.
  • Picks and drops project visitors at the airport or designated areas.
  • Ensures that vehicles are always in good working conditions.
  • Reports all damages to Fleet Coordinator for necessary action.
  • Assists MSIG in always attaining high standard quality care.
  • Channels all requests for repairs, maintenance, and fuel through the Fleet Coordinator.
  • Keeps daily record of vehicle mileage
  • Responsible for the daily maintenance of vehicle allocated.
  • Returns all vehicles to head office, clinic, or designated office

Health Care Support

  • Supports office/outreach to be able to always attain high standard quality care.
  • Assists MSIG clinical team in providing service as needed.
  • Supports in community mobilization
  • Supports Midwives and Nurse Aids to counsel clients when requested
  • Supports with scrubbing as and when needed
  • Assists in registration of clients
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by Midwife and or Fleet Officer

Communication and Administration

  • Ensure formal communications with the various health partners are properly documented
  • Assist with administrative work when necessary

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Must have at least MSLC /BECE certificate or higher.
  • Possess or hold a recognized certificate in community health nursing or health care assistant or experience working in a health-related facility
  • Basic knowledge and skills in computer application such as Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Fair written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, excel, power point)
  • Work experience with Ghana Health Service and/or a health-related NGO/INGO
  • Articulate and pays attention to details
  • Must be multi-skilled
  • Must have requisite experience in customer relation
  • Be prochoice
