Job Description CHISU is an ongoing five-year global cooperative agreement funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). program focused on strengthening Health Information Systems (HIS), enabling sharing of data between systems and its use, and supporting countries’ self-reliance by enhancing capacity for local leadership and engagement in every aspect of health data. As USAID’s flagship HIS and data project, CHISU’s work with USAID supported host country health managers, health workers, and other stakeholders’ centers around four strategic objectives:
Summary
The USAID-funded Country Health Information Systems and Data Use (CHISU) program seeks a qualified consultant to Develop a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) System.
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has used the Planning and Budget Management Information System (PBMIS) for 5 years to support preparing evidence-based and quality plans and budgets aligned with strategic health sector objectives. However, the current PBMIS operates is a desktop- based application, which presents significant limitations within a corporate institutional setting.
Recognizing these limitations, GHS plans to develop a web-based version of PBMIS that will address the limitations of desktop applications. The web-based platform will offer real-time accessibility, allowing users to collaborate seamlessly from any location. Additionally, it will be extended with an electronic Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (eMEL) platform.
