PANKO Youth Center mission is to provide opportunities for less privileged children and youth to learn skills necessary to develop their full potentials. On a 0.6-acre land with learning spaces and a playground, PANKO is working to improve five skill sets of children and young people, which include foundational skills, digital skills, transferable skills, job specific skills and entrepreneurial skills. Currently, the youth center runs a preschool, after-school activities, ICT intervention to support school-going rural children with foundational skills and redirect their energy and time away from social vices to lift them out of extreme poverty. These interventions will improve education and job creation for disadvantaged youth in trural communities in the region. 

Job Description

PANKO Youth Center is seeking two enthusiastic teachers/facilitators to join our team. The roles involve engaging with preschool and after-school children, fostering their growth in literacy, numeracy, digital literacy and essential life skills.

Position 1: Teacher/Facilitator with Accounting Skills

• Teach literacy (Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing) to preschoolers and after-school kids. 
• Aside teaching, maintain financial records and perform basic accounting tasks using Excel.
• Support preschoolers and after-school kids in their learning and development. 

Position 2: Teacher/Facilitator with ICT and Coding Skills

• Teach literacy (Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing) to preschoolers and after-school kids. 
• Maintain and repair computers in the ICT lab.
• Teach coding and basic computer skills to children. 

Both roles require passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their educational and personal growth.

Required Skills or Experience

For Teacher/Facilitator with Accounting Skills:

• Minimum qualification: Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency in using Excel for accounting tasks.
• Experience teaching or willingness to teach literacy to children as young as preschoolers.
• Experience working with children as young as preschoolers. 

For Teacher/Facilitator with ICT and Coding Skills:

• Minimum qualification: Diploma in IT/ICT or any other relevant field.
• Experience repairing computers and basic coding knowledge.
• Experience teaching or willingness to teach literacy to children as young as preschoolers.
• Experience working with children as young as preschoolers. 

General Requirements for Both Positions:

• Fluent in English.
• Passionate about working with children and supporting their development.
