Job Description
- REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Sales Manager or General Manager
JOB PURPOSE
To drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing sales opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and promoting the company’s glass products and services.
DUTIES
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and target new sales opportunities in the glass processing market.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients through research, cold calling, and networking.
- Generate and follow up on leads to achieve sales targets and meet revenue goals.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and complaints.
- Gather and address client feedback to improve products and services.
Product and Service Promotion:
- Present and demonstrate the company’s glass processing solutions to clients, highlighting features and benefits.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to customer needs.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and product launches.
Negotiation and Closing:
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients.
- Ensure sales agreements align with company policies and profitability goals.
- Close deals efficiently and follow up on post-sale activities.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities.
- Analyze sales data and provide reports on performance, trends, and forecasts to management.
- Recommend strategies to improve market penetration and sales efficiency.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with the finance team to facilitate invoicing and payment collection.
- Provide input to the marketing team on client needs and market trends.
Sales Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and contracts.
- Prepare sales reports and submit them to management regularly.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and standards during sales processes.
Other Duties
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Primarily office-based with frequent visits to client sites and project locations.
- Requires occasional travel for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a sales role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to understand and convey technical product information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the glass processing industry or construction materials market (advantageous)
