• REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: The General Manager

• To oversee the entire production process ensuring that manufacturing operations run efficiently, meet quality standards, and align with company objectives.

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to align production plans with business requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and finished products to prevent shortages or overstocking.

• Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to maximize productivity.
• Monitor and ensure the efficient use of equipment, resources, and manpower.

• Establish and enforce quality control standards to ensure products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Address production issues, such as defects or inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain certifications and compliance.

• Supervise and manage production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
• Ensure clear communication between production teams and other departments.

• Enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to mitigate risks.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and environmental standards.

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades.
• Assess and recommend investments in new technology or machinery to improve production capabilities.

• Prepare and present production reports, including efficiency metrics, output, and waste analysis.
• Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, incidents, and quality control measures.
• Provide updates to senior management on production performance and challenges.

• Address production bottlenecks and resolve operational challenges promptly.
• Make informed decisions regarding resource allocation, scheduling adjustments, and process changes.

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree / HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in production management, preferably in a glass processing or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control standards.
• Proficiency in using any production management software.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to lead diverse teams.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (advantageous).
