Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage our pest control operations. The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient service delivery, optimizing team performance, maintaining high customer satisfaction, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of pest control services and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily pest control operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and ensure quality.
- Monitor job schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet customer demands.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise pest control technicians and other team members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team productivity.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth.
Customer Service:
- Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly.
- Conduct follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction with services provided.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align operations with customer acquisition and retention goals.
Quality Assurance:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pest control treatments and methods.
- Ensure the use of safe and environmentally friendly pest control solutions.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain service quality and compliance.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Track expenses and revenues related to pest control operations.
- Identify opportunities to increase operational profitability.
Strategic Planning and Reporting:
- Analyze operational data and generate reports on performance metrics.
- Identify trends and recommend strategies to improve service delivery and business growth.
- Collaborate with senior management to set goals and develop long-term operational plans.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the pest control or service industry.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of pest control methods, tools, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in using operational software and tools for scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
- Combination of office and field work.
- Regular travel to client sites and field operations.
