Job Description

  • Location: Achimota, Accra
  • Reports To: Food & Beverage Supervisor

Role Summary
Lead the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences, innovate menus, and optimize kitchen operations in alignment with the hotel’s revitalization goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute creative, cost-effective menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, plating, and adherence to health/safety standards.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, presentation, and waste reduction strategies.
  • Manage food inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain budget compliance while minimizing costs.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to align culinary offerings with marketing initiatives and guest feedback.
  • Ensure consistent food quality through rigorous quality checks and adherence to SOPs.

Required Skills or Experience

  • 8+ years of experience as a Chef in upscale hotels or fine-dining establishments.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification.
  • Proven expertise in menu development, cost control, and kitchen management.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations

Preferred

  • Experience in sustainable culinary practices or fusion cuisine.
  • Certification in nutrition or dietary-specific meal planning.
