Job Description

Are you passionate about driving social impact and empowering women through technology and innovation? SheRise Technology Empowerment Programme, a not—for-profit organization committed to uplifting women in underserved communities, is seeking a dynamic Programmes Manager to join our team.

ABOUT SHERISE TECHNOLOGY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME
SheRise Technology Empowerment Programme is a purpose-driven organization that empowers women in Ghana to achieve economic self-sufficiency through digital skills and livelihood entrepreneurship as a vehicle for social change. We equip women - particularly young women, marginalized groups, and persons with disabilities - with digital, entrepreneurial, financial literacy and 21st century skills to grow, adapt and thrive in an evolving digital economy. We operate across various sectors including agriculture (AgTech), Financial technology (FinTech), mobility, e-commerce, and educational technology (EdTech).
 
JOB PURPOSE
As the Programmes Manager, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, managing SheRise’s impactful programmes. This includes planning, implementing, and monitoring initiatives that empower underserved groups including young women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized youth through technology training, mentorship and entrepreneurship support.
 
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
  • Develop and manage SheRise Technology’s programme and ensure alignment with SheRise’s mission and objectives
  • Oversee the implementation of technology and empowerment programmes, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes. 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to programme staff, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Manage budgets for assigned programmes and ensure adherence to financial controls. 
  • Ecosystem collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and sponsors to expand the reach and impact of SheRise’s initiatives 
  • Communicate programme progress and impact to stakeholders through compelling reports and presentations
  • Represent Sherise at events and create awareness of SheRise’s initiatives on both traditional media and SheRise’s social media platforms.
Fundraising and Grant Proposals.
  • Identify and lead grant proposal to secure funding opportunities to support and sustain SheRise’s activities 
  • Spearhead fundraising activities and collaboration with donors, PPP, development partners, etc.
Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Monitor and evaluate programme performance, preparing detailed reports and recommending improvements

Required Skills or Experience

RELEVANT EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration (Entrepreneurship option), Social Sciences or any other related discipline from an accredited tertiary institution.
  • Minimum 3-5 years post qualification relevant experience in managing programmes within the not-for-profit sector, especially in women empowerment or technology-focused projects
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience of planning, prioritizing and organizing work on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for social impact and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by our target beneficiaries.
  • Passion for women empowerment and familiarity with technology-driven initiatives. 
  • Experience in budgeting, fundraising, and partnership development is highly desirable.
  • Ability to remain adaptable, flexible and open-minded to different situations that occur in the workplace.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computing skills and proficiency in project management tools.
  • Self-motivated and result-oriented professional.
  • Person with high integrity with excellent people management skills
