Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Resort Manager to oversee the daily operations of our evolving boutique resort operationg on a mixed serviced and self-service model . The ideal candidate will ensure a high standard of guest experience, smooth resort operations, and efficient team management. This role requires a balance of hospitality excellence, operational oversight, and financial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Customer Service
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for guests, addressing inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements based on reviews and surveys.
- Oversee check-ins, check-outs, and personalized guest experiences.
Operations & Facility Management
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of villas, common areas, and resort facilities.
- Ensure the seamless operation of both serviced and self-service offerings, including housekeeping schedules, amenities, and guest supplies.
- Manage inventory and procurement of essential supplies (e.g., linens, toiletries, kitchen essentials).
- Work with contractors and service providers for repairs, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with local laws.
Staff Supervision & Leadership
- Lead, train, and manage resort staff, including housekeeping, front office, and maintenance teams.
- Develop work schedules and assign responsibilities to optimize efficiency.
- Foster a positive work environment with strong team communication and morale.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures.
- Manage room rates, promotions, and revenue optimization strategies.
- Handle guest billing, payments, and reservation systems.
- Monitor occupancy rates, prepare performance reports, and present insights to stakeholders.
Marketing & Sales Support
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the resort through online platforms, partnerships, and direct sales efforts.
- Work with OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) and reservation platforms to manage listings, pricing, and guest communications.
- Develop relationships with local businesses and tourism operators to enhance guest experiences.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in resort, hotel, or hospitality management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication (English & Twi) and interpersonal abilities.
- Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control.
- Knowledge of property management systems (PMS) and online booking platforms.
- Ability to handle operational challenges and adapt to guest needs.
- Background in maintenance oversight and facility operations is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience managing boutique resorts, villas, or vacation rentals.
- Multilingual skills (depending on guest demographics).
