• Reports to: Development Manager

Role Overview

The Architect is responsible for designing and developing architectural plans, ensure the successful integration of architectural designs with structural and civil engineering elements in all construction projects. This role involves working closely with the Development Manager, Consultants, Quantity Surveyor, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs meet project requirements and are completed on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop architectural plans in line with approved specifications and budget.
• Secure all permits, licenses, and approvals from external authorities and agencies as required
• Create detailed architectural plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Utilize hand and 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts.
• Review all building documents during the quality assurance process with a focus on accurate and realistic details.
• Investigate alternatives and perform value engineering throughout the design process
• Review and manage contracts and tenders.
• Attend project meetings with stakeholders, including the Development Manager, Quantity Surveyor, and consultants.
• Lead and coordinate the work of architects and drafters.
• Providing guidance to subcontractors, i.e., builders, plumbers, and electricians, and helping them interpret design specifications.
• Ensure that designs comply with relevant regulations and laws.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Must be a Licensed Architect and a member of the Association in Ghana
• 7+ years of experience in architectural design and development.
• Proven work experience as an Architect, with significant experience in a leadership role
• Strong design and communication skills
• Ability to work with architectural software.
• Outstanding leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals and tradespeople.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
