Job Description

  • Location: East Legon
  • Reports to: Creative Director

Your role as a Design Assistant:
You will provide administrative and design support to the Creative Director, assisting with daily tasks, managing schedules, and coordinating travel arrangements. You will also assist in designing and developing clothing and accessory lines, creating sketches, prototypes, and presentation materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Creative Director's calendar by scheduling appointments and sending timely reminders.
  • Assist in the design process, including research, sketching, and developing design concepts.
  • Create digital illustrations, mood boards, and technical sketches using design software.
  • Source fabrics and trims and maintain fabric libraries
  • Assist with the creation of tech packs and production specifications
  • Attend fittings and provide feedback on garment construction and fit.
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and all correspondence promptly
  • Make travel arrangements and manage itineraries.
  • Assist with event planning and logistics.
  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
  • Attend client consultations and take notes.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and client proposals
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities
  • Maintain an organized and efficient workspace
  • Represent the brand professionally and positively. 

Required Skills or Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 1- 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of fashion industry trends and market analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suites (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in CAD software is an added advantage
  • Technical understanding of garment construction, fabric, and trim knowledge
  • Must be analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
