Job Description

Location: Lapaz

You are responsible for ensuring that the institution adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices, including those related to financial regulations, anti-money laundering (AML), and customer due diligence (KYC). You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and stability of the company.

Key Responsibilities of a Compliance Officer

Developing and Maintaining Compliance Policies:

This involves creating and updating policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as AML, KYC, and data protection.

Monitoring and Ensuring Adherence to Regulations:

Compliance officers continuously monitor the operations of the MFI to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.

Overseeing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Transaction Monitoring:

They are responsible for overseeing the implementation of CDD and transaction monitoring procedures to prevent financial crimes.

Conducting Risk Assessments, Audits, and Compliance Training:

Compliance officers conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and provide compliance training to employees.

Liaising with Regulators, Auditors, and Stakeholders:

They communicate with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders to address compliance issues.

Reporting on Compliance Matters:

Compliance officers are responsible for reporting on compliance matters to management and relevant authorities.

Required Skills or Experience

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Minimum Experience: At least 2 years’ experience
