Job Description

This role is physically demanding and requires a good understanding of safety procedures in mining environments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Jumbo offsiders help jumbo operators who control heavy drill rigs used to create blast holes and install ground support in underground mines.
Assist in moving and setting up drilling rigs and equipment, ensuring everything is in place and functioning
Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or repairs needs to the supervisor
Conducting safety checks and ensuring that the drilling sites are safe and secure
Helping obtains drilling core samples and managing the collection process
Performing maintenance tasks such as cleaning mud pits and drains, and connecting power cables or hoses for water and air supply
Perform additional cleaning tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Required Skills or Experience

A minimum off Senior High School Certificate or equivalent.
Previous experience as a cleaner, or in a similar role is an advantage.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe usage.
Physical strength to perform cleaning tasks, including walking, lifting moderately heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to details and time management skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving and operating licenses and able to drive manual vehicle
Must have a valid community validation form
