Job Description

A progressive Ghanaian-owned animal feed company located in Kumasi seeks an experienced and energetic welding and fabrication technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• He will set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
• Must weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• He will repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• He will test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
• He will maintain equipment in a good condition.

Required Skills or Experience

• Must have 2 to 3 years’ working experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.).
• Knowledge of appropriate safety protocols in welding.
• An HND in Mechanical Engineering (welding and fabrication option) will be an advantage.
