Its mission is to promote economic and social development in Africa through loans, equity investments,  and technical assistance. The African Development Bank offers internships at its headquarters (temporarily relocated to Tunisia) for postsecondary students from around the world. Internships are initially for a period of three months, renewable once for an additional period of three months. The internships are on a volunteer basis.

The Canadian Bar Association (CBA) is the advocate of members of the legal profession. CBA administers eight-month internships for young lawyers through the Young Professionals

Carter Center
The Carter Center, in partnership with Emory University, works to promote human rights and the alleviation of human suffering; it seeks to prevent and resolve conflicts, enhance freedom and democracy, and improve health. The Carter Center offers internships in Atlanta during three sessions per year to undergraduate juniors and seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates.
